Inspired by playwright, avant-garde theater pioneer, and MacArthur Genius Grant winner Richard Foreman, a dazzling lineup of theater, dance, video and literary artists from Portland and beyond rise to the challenge of creating a new work in only ten days.
PWNW artistic director Linda Austin posted a selection from Foreman’s online notebooks at 12:01 am on July 9. On July 19 audiences will thrill to the amusing, shocking and enlightening results created by 18 solo artists/groups, presented in two different programs. This is a great chance to enjoy a broad spectrum of work across media, and a wonderful meditation on inspiration, interpretation, and the connections and disjunctions in between.
Beer, wine and great food by culinary artists Cyndy Chan & Anna Daedalus.
