Our time together begins with a welcome and a toast, followed by artists presenting work, segueing into lively discussion, and finishing off with a chance to win a T-shirt or other prize! At PWNW we will be trying out a Palm Springs Paloma in case you want to do the same.

Jorge Samuel Faria is a movement artist from Brazil. The grandson of the founder of one of the first schools of Samba in Teresòpolis, Brazil (Rio de Janeiro), Jorge grew up surrounded by drums and dancing. Currently, he is a student at UNESPAR, in Curitiba, Brazil where he studies dance research and composition. Jorge’s current project Nativo Urbano scientifically examines dance composition and movement analysis. Jorge is also an independent fashion designer, musician and entrepreneur.
Wendy Hambidge is an artist, somatic therapist, and Body-Mind Centering® Practitioner and Teacher. She holds an MFA in choreography and performance, teaches internationally, and has received grants from the Metropolitan Arts Commission, RACC, and OAC. She co-directed The Dance Cartel, an educational dance organization, and stewarded the Body-Mind Centering Association as a board member, for over a decade. She also collaborates with Damaris Webb. Wendy and Jorge were introduced to one another in Brazil by Marila Velloso when Wendy was teaching there in March 2018. Jorge translated a class for Wendy. They have been collaborating ever since.

Rachel Kessler is an accomplished painter whose work has been exhibited in the US and internationally, most recently in the group show Garden, curated by Ladies Room Los Angeles . Her artistic work embraces a range of visual media including performance collaboration, writing and process based arts education. She is a nationally recognized facilitator helping to develop creative teaching practices for community based organizations, non-profits, and cultural institutions. She holds a bfa from California Institute of the Arts and an mfa from Art Center College of Design. www.rachelkesslerstudio.com
Matt Fielder is an artist, performer, sculptor, sometimes writer, stop-motion animator, fool, musician, and creator and collaborator of many works of theater. He currently lives in Portland, OR.
