ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Becky Miller is an interdisciplinary artist and social work researcher. Her current solo work plays with sound as collage, exploring odd ingredients, and vocal transmutations. She makes oh so very many songs all the time and enjoys collaborating, whether it be with other humans, nature, or her own voice. She occasionally hand builds ceramics and communes with watercolors.

Alim Ringgold (b. 1999) is an artist engaging with ceramics, sound, moving image, and sculptural installation. Their work makes an attempt at dissolving perceived boundaries between our physical, spiritual, and emotional realities. Alim uses their mediums as tools for giving form to the ineffable and constructing a personal mythology based in internal or in-between geographies made necessary by ancestral histories of exclusion, abduction, and subjugation. They have performed publicly at numerous venues in the Portland metro area, namely XCHURCH, Virtua Gallery, Megalith, Portland Arts Collective, ILY2 Too, Gallery 114, Blue Butler Studios, and the Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center. They have exhibited physical works at Well Well Projects, Window Room Tv, and the Center for Contemporary Art and Culture. https://neolith.studio/about

Yaara trained in movement based expressive arts therapy and her work is centered in somatic reconnection. In addition to her solo work, she collaboratively creates work for dance, film, and other performance art projects. Follow @yaaravaley & @tenderheartphoto for my portrait photography work.
