The Mycelium Dreams PASTfuture Long-Form Archival Conversation Series, conceived and curated by Linda K. Johnson, continues in April with a conversation with another of our Portland dance elders, Pat Wong.
NEXT UP: May 4 Chisao Hata | June 8 Barry Johnson
Patricia Wong was the co-founder in 1971 of one of Portland’s seminal modern dance companies—Portland Dance Theater (a company founded and led by women)—and went on to lead and shape the Reed College Dance department as a Professor of Dance for nearly 35 years. Connected to the incredible legacy of the PSU dance program and additionally creating a legacy program at Reed, Pat has collaborated with, taught, and supported the work of countless artists in her 50 years of presence in the Portland dance community. She holds such an important part of the history. Please come to listen so you too can be a storyteller about our past as it continues to shape our future.
