SEARCH AND DESTROY (S.A.D.) is a multimedia variety show featuring dance and other artistic mediums where artists & local leaders share their craft and discuss what matters most to them while exploring ways in which we can better ourselves, our communities, and our relationships with each other. Through storytelling, live conversations, audience interaction, and heavy doses of honesty & humor, S.A.D. seeks to give hope and be an entertaining, informative space for all to have fun, let loose, and be reminded that we as people have the agency & ability to initiate change by working together. SEARCH AND DESTROY is a show for everyone; parental discretion is advised for audience members under 18 years of age.

In SHOW 01: Lines + Borders, the S.A.D. Crew & Guest Artists explore the invisible lines, borders, and boundaries we’ve created, and how these imaginary divisions affect our relationships with ourselves, each other, and the world around us. Whether it’s boarding groups at the airport gate, setting boundaries with people about texting, finding our self-identity through various categories, or choosing sides in a divisive conflict, Lines + Borders are found within all levels of our existence and can simultaneously heal, help, harm, and hinder. Approximate runtime for this performance is 60 minutes with no intermission.

This will be a recurring event at Performance Works NW, every last Friday of the month. Save the date for the next installment on August 28!
