Since the First Sunrise/COMING HOME asks “How can we reconcile our humanity with spirit and come home to the truth of our interconnectedness?” Dance, live music, language, and a giant yarn installation serve as a means to communicate with each other, with the past, and with the future. Created collaboratively by jaime lee christiana, Adrian Hutapea, and Tracy Broyles, this alive score probes with depth, humor and artistry at our very existence.

TRANSCENDENTAEROBICOURAGE is an ALL LEVELS movement/embodiment event facilitated by Allie Hankins. A combination of step aerobics and your favorite sweaty dance party, we will breathe, vocalize, bounce, sweat, push, rest, DANCE, and work individually and as a group in actions that help us access the pleasure of effort. LIVE DJ Allan Wilson’s music buoys us through our fatigue and steers us to an empowering transcendent climax.

By My Own Hand / Part One: GHOSTING, created and performed by Allie Hankins, is the first of a five-part performance series created and performed by Allie , a zine of poems and illustrations, and an album of “field recordings.” Toying with the perceived power of the systems we use to define ourselves, such as astrology, psychotherapy, and dream interpretation, the piece establishes itself as a multi-tentacled examination and a coy exemplification of the futility in attempting to uphold a fixed persona in life, and the dark necessity of “killing” our past selves in our pursuit of reinvention or “betterment”.

The workshop is an all levels dance class, which we’ll take the geometric dance style called tutting and travel deep with it to every dimension. We’ll and add depth, levels and floor work. concepts and techniques that will bend space and time.
Conrad, known as Icon in the street dance scene, specializes in Tutting and has been mentioned the best in America and top ten favorite Tutter of all time from the legendary street dancer Steffan Clemente aka Mr Wiggles.

Evolve is a show about working with the old, creating new, and finding the evolution between the two. We will be showing 5 short works of modern dance that were reset on new dancers and three new works.
