Experience the satisfaction of making paper by hand! Together we’ll stir, sift, lift, and mold pulp into beautiful handmade paper. All ages are welcome.

Wednesday, August 5 | 10:30 AM–12:30 PM
My Portion
A movement workshop for caretakers exploring the joys and challenges of caring for others. Through collective prompts, conversation, and dance, we’ll reflect on the labor, love, and transformation of caregiving. This workshop honors all bodies that have carried children—including experiences of loss—and welcomes anyone who cares for others.

Thursday, August 6 | 5:30–7:30 PM
INNER PLAY
A somatic movement practice centered on internal experience and holistic body awareness. We’ll begin with ritual, breath, voice, and tactile awareness, move through restorative floor work, and end with a flowing movement phrase. Process is prioritized over product. Participants are encouraged to bring a journal.

Saturday, August 8 | 10:30 AM–12:30 PM
Open House
Join us for a family-friendly morning of paper making, dance, and basket weaving. Parents and children are encouraged to participate together. If you plan to make paper and would like to take it home, please bring a piece of felt or linen cloth to transport your wet paper while it dries.

Through storytelling, live conversations, audience interaction, and heavy doses of honesty & humor, S.A.D. seeks to give hope and be an entertaining, informative space for all to have fun, let loose, and be reminded that we as people have the agency & ability to initiate change by working together. SEARCH AND DESTROY is a show for everyone; parental discretion is advised for audience members under 18 years of age.

September 12 | Friends After Good Sound Summer Concert

Friends After Good Sound will be premiering three new works by Kennedy Verrett, Ted Laderas and Jazel Morfin for an evening of Portland’s newest of new.

Friends After Good Sound is a queer new music collective focused exclusively on bringing new works by local PDX composers to life. We seek to be a vehicle that overcomes the many trepidations posed to artists when it comes to creating new work. New work is the pulse of any good music scene, it’s exciting, it’s overrated, it doesn’t work, it changes things and people. Without new work  concerts can be boring, predictable and prescribable. (F)-(A)-(G)-(S) isn’t that.

Saturday, September 12
Doors, 7:00, show at 7:30pm
